Rapid Raceway Inaugural Enduro

Rapid Raceway's inaugural team enduro held on Saturday January 13, 2007 was an outstanding event! Eight teams, consisting of three drivers each, competed in five minute heats throughout the day and into the night. The race lasted approximately ten hours. Just finishing this race was a great accomplishment! The field was made up of some of the best slot car racers in the Northwest. Seattle, Portland, Bend, and Eugene were all represented. At the end it was the "Old Wierd Herald" Team from Seattle taking the win. Jerry "Gearloose" Palfenier's Lowenbrau Porsche won the concours judging. Congrat's to the winners and all those that participated and never gave up!

Results:

1st "Old Wierd Herald" 2,843.3 laps

Racing in the Dark!

Evidence of Team Blue!

Driver Stations were equipped with small LED lights to ensure proper controller wiring.

Man it got dark!

Team Pork Swords looked like they were running after-burners!

Somebody mentioned Paul never had more than a fist full of one dollar bills in his pockets...............Here's proof that's not true! (That would be a $20 if you can't tell).

Thanks "Howie" for a great race! The food and competition were excellent! ...........................Bill

Rapid Raceway has five regular Saturday night races and Checkered Flag has four. Call Bob Mcfarland for further info on Checkered Flag.
